I enjoy talking with Sales Managers and Small Business Owners every week. Sometimes they inquire about what would have to happen for us to work together.

One thing I’ve learned from years of experience: I’m not the right guy for every business. If we do start talking about getting together, please don’t be offended if I respectfully say ‘no’.

There are two non-negotiables that I adhere to that some business owners aren’t willing to do:

1. Are you willing to allow me to expose all the sacred cows and uncover all the blind spots in your business? Are you prepared to face them and assassinate them when necessary to move your business forward?
2. For every hour we spend in any type of learning session…teaching, strategic discussion, workshops, etc.…are you willing to commit to a minimum of two hours of internal practice to properly install the new behavior?

This is the bare minimum required to insure that our time together produces a return. Anything less would be a waste of time and money.
